Caramel Carnival | Scrapbook Nails

I actually think the 'Caramel' polish from the Nails Inc Diet Coke promotion is quite ugly - but I love it all the same! It might be my skin tone, but on it's own, the polish really is not for me.

For this mani, I've paired it with a dupe for OPI's 'Rainbow Connection' (Muppets collection) a mixed, fine & chunky, colourful glitter. I think this prettified the caramel colour a lot. This isn't a very hungry glitter polish, just one layer of top coat and my nails were smooth.

I used:
Base coat - No7, So Smooth
Base colour-  Nails Inc, Caramel (Diet Coke promotional polish)
Top colour - Technic, Carnival
Top coat - China Glaze, Fast Forward Top Coat

Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ Butterflies Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ | Scrapbook Nails

Dark red & gold were the colours suggested to me for my next mani, and this is what I ended up with :-) pretttyyy butterflies on my nails!
I used one of my Konad plates to stamp on the butterflies, and kept the design to my ring fingers to stop my nails looking too busy.

p.s. My pinky finger nail broke :'( BOOO!! And it looked particularly silly with dark nail polish on, (it's not so obvious with a lighter shade) sooo, I cut that finger out the pictures!

I used:
Base coat - No7, So Smooth
Base colour-  China Glaze, Velvet Bow
Stamping Plate - Konad, m36
Stamping Colour - Barry M, Gold Foil 320
Top coat - China Glaze, Fast Forward Top Coat

Models Own combo | Scrapbook Nails

I fancied a bit of sparkle on my nails this weekend as I had dinner plans for Friday & Saturday. I only had about half an hour to apply my polish, so I opted for this Models Own combination. It was quick, easy, pretty and perfect for a weekend 'evening' mani.
I love the hexagon shape of the blue topcoat, it's almost a chunky glitter without being too in your face. I think Model's Own have taken this polish out their collection now :( It's a shame as it's so pretty!

I used:
Base coat - No7, So Smooth
Base colour -  Models Own, Emerald Black (Beetle Juice collection)
Top colour - Models Own, Blue Sparkle
Top coat - China Glaze, Fast Forward Top Coat

Valentine's Day nails | Scrapbook Nails

I'm disappointed with how my Valentine's Day nails turned out, but after the time and effort that went into the mani, I had to share them with you anyway. I preferred the colours plain, they came out so glossy and pretty.
The mini heart shapes were a lot harder to achieve then I'd anticipated, as I did everything freehand.

I used:
Base coat - No7, So Smooth
Red Base -  China Glaze, Poinsettia
Pink Base (on ring fingers) - Barry M, A 029 (limited edition)
White Hearts - Star Gazer Nail Art pen
Glitter - Barry M, Silver Glitter (limited edition)
Top coat - China Glaze, Fast Forward Top Coat

Blue Splatter Nails | Scrapbook Nails

Splatter nails are so much fun, and they're not as time consuming as you might think.
I do recommend putting down some scrap paper though! Below you can see the mess I made. The nail clean up isn't too bad though, I personally don't think it's necessary to tape your fingers before hand.
I wanted to use a variety of blues for this one, and I chose a white base to make the colours pop.

I used:
Base Coat - No7, So Smooth
White Base -  OPI, Apline snow
Dark Blue - Barry M, B 029 (limited Edition)
Light Blue - Barry M, Cyan Blue 294
Turquoise - Nails Inc, Malibu Mojito (The Cocktail Collection)
Top coat - China Glaze, Fast Forward Top Coat

Lilac - Rose | Scrapbook Nails

While browsing YouTube, I found this rose nail art tutorial. The end results are really pretty and it looked a lot easier to do then I'd originally thought, so I decided to give it a go.
I did try this out on paper first, as I didn't want to re-paint my nails if I messed up! At first, I thought I might be able to do this with normal polish, but the texture and thickness isn't very easy to work with. Luckily for me, my sister is an artist, so there are always acrylic paints laying about the house.
After my paper practice, I attempted the design on my ring fingers. I LOVE it! It's definitely one of my favourite manis to date.

I used:
Base coat - No7, So Smooth
Lilac -  OPI (mini), Rumple’s Wiggin’ [from the shrek forever after collection]
Pink & White roses - Acrylic paint
Green stems - Rio nail art pen in metallic green
Top coat - China Glaze, Fast Forward Top Coat
